Autodelta and Surroundings - Facts, Fantasies, Frustrations, Dreams Known and Unknown

Autodelta of Feletto Umberto was an extremely important enterprise, both in technological and human terms. Like a meteor it illuminated for one intense but fleeting moment the world of labour in the Friuli, a world which, during the years of the Italian economic miracle was struggling to emerge. Autodelta, with its international sporting successes, brought the names of Friuli and Udine to the attention of the world, but when it reached the height of success, just like a meteor it dissolved and its fragments were reabsorbed into the car making world that had generated it. Forty years on its memory is still alive, a fine memory of when we were all younger.
