It was perhaps the Brescia model that helped to establish Bugatti to be a manufacturer of distinction; certainly more of this model was produced than any other and this would have permitted Ettore Bugatti to progress onto his later triumphs, with both his racing and touring car range. In this book, Bob King, himself a past Brescia owner, as well as registrar to the Bugatti Club Australia, looks into the early origins of Ettore Bugatti’s work with Mathis and Deutz, the influence of the Isotta Fraschinin Type FE of 1908, the 5 Litre Bugatti from 1912 – 1914, the 8 Value Bugatti and its development in the 16 valve model and its various types: 13, 22, 23. The second part of this work is 'The Brescia Collection', a register of surviving cars from around the world, which are listed by Molsheim chassis number, Bugatti Owners Club BC number and unknown identity. Based upon information supplied by the owners, and illustrated with mix of period and more recent photographs, this offers a fascinating insight into the surviving cars. Edition of 700
